Team Giddy Up dominated Locally and Nationally over the weekend.

On the East Coast Marisa Rastetter place third in the Elite division at the 5150 New York Triathlon. She has now qualified for the prestigious Hy-Vee Triathlon in September.

While locally the Giddy Team lined up for the Carlsbad Triathlon. While I took my 8th Carlsbad Triathlon title the rest of the team had some fantastic performances as well. Neels Mathias took out the 40-44 division, Kathi Potts won the 50-54 division, Laura Rausa was 4th in the 30-34 division, Mike Rausa had a top 20 finish in the tough 30-34 age group. But was ecstatic that he beat his wife Laura by 43 seconds. Eric Smith took 7th in the 30-34 category while Kevin Lwyellem was 6th in the 35-39 division. Matt Simons had to wipe off the cobwebs off his bike and deal with a flat on the bike but still managed a smile when he crossed the finish line in the 40-44 division. Finally the performance of the day goes to Laura’s Mum Connie Harris who was 2nd in the 60-64 division.
